BingeT — Privacy Policy

BingeT is a personal, offline-first app for tracking the movies and TV series you watch. No accounts, no cloud sync, no social features. This policy describes the very limited data the app processes.

1. Data stored on your device

Your entire personal library lives exclusively on your phone, in a local SQLite database:

• Movies and series you have added, their status (planned, watching, completed, etc.) and your rating.
• Episodes marked as watched, with date and time.
• Achievements unlocked and progress towards them.
• Preferences: language, region, notification settings.

This data is never sent to any server. If you uninstall BingeT, it is gone.

2. Data processed by our server

BingeT uses our own server (a Cloudflare Worker) only as a relay for two technical tasks: fetching movie and series metadata from an external public catalog, and reporting whether a newer version of the app is available. Requests are processed and discarded — the server does not store anything about who called, when, or what was requested. No accounts, no analytics, no usage logs.

3. What we do NOT collect

• Name, email, phone number, age, or any other personal identifier.
• Accounts, passwords, or social profiles.
• Your library, ratings, or watch history.
• Precise or approximate location.
• Advertising identifiers (Advertising ID, IDFA).
• Biometric data.
• Contacts, messages, camera photos, or microphone audio.

4. Third parties

• Cloudflare: hosts our server (Workers, KV, D1). Your phone's HTTPS requests pass through Cloudflare's network before reaching our code. Cloudflare may log basic network metadata under its own terms. Policy: cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.
• Google Play: distributes the app. Google collects standard store metrics (installs, crash reports, etc.) under its own terms.

We do not embed any analytics, advertising or tracking SDKs inside the app.

5. Notifications

If you enable notifications, the app can show local alerts when a new episode of a series you follow is about to air. Notifications are scheduled and fired locally on your device; no server pushes notifications to BingeT.

6. Your rights

• Erase all your data: uninstall the app. The local database is removed with it.
• Export your library: inside the app, settings > export — produces a JSON file with everything for you to keep wherever you like.
• Server-side data: we do not store anything about you on our server. There is no record to remove.

7. Children

BingeT does not target children and does not collect personal data from users of any age. Age ratings may appear on some titles as metadata sourced from the external catalog described above.

8. Changes to this policy

If we modify this policy, we update the date above. Material changes will be reflected in the app changelog.
